2025-2026 SEASON

"The Stories We Tell"

This season explores the human need to escape- whether into fantasy, rebellion, imagination, or deception- and the equally powerful drive to find connection, identity, and home. Each show follows characters who are outsiders in their own way, searching for meaning and belonging in a world that doesn't always understand them.

STUDENT DIRECTED ONE ACT FESTIVAL
November 13-14, 2026

Enjoy two nights of student directed shows!
AUNT LEAF- It is 1910. Annabelle, a quiet 11-year-old, and her depressed and lonely great-aunt Leaf develop a secret ritual of storytelling. Each night the old lady sends the child into the woods to look for the ghost of her dead husband. Each night the girl brings back stories—made-up "proof" of her uncle—to cheer up the old woman. Annabelle's fibs grow into stories, and her stories grow into tall tales. As she wanders deeper into the forest each night, she soon comes to believe her own stories are true.
BRIAN THE COMET- Jude's mom is an astronaut, 254 miles away on the International Space Station, so when her father is diagnosed with lung cancer, Jude is the only one who can take care of him. In the hospital, she meets a boy named Brian who suffers from aneurysms and together, they learn about what they fear, what they know, what they believe, and what they hope for.
IN THE FORESTS OF THE NIGHT- Thirteen students are compelled by their dreams to play a game in the woods to keep a mysterious monster at bay. Not everyone gets to play it again.
ACTORS NIGHTMARE- George wanders on stage and is met by stage manager Meg, who says he is to fill in for an actor who has had an accident. George is confused as Ellen Terry, Sarah Siddons and Henry Irving arrive, all apparently about to perform. But what in? Private Lives? Hamlet? Something by Beckett? As each starts playing his or her respective part George tries valiantly to follow them, but is forced to confront his fate as Thomas More in A Man For All Seasons.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE
February 4-6, 2027

The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Golden Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another. With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
Content advisory: Alcohol use, mild violence.

TWELFTH NIGHT (A MUSICAL)
March 31- April 3, 2027

Twelfth Night tells the story of Viola, a young heroine who washes up on the shores of Illyria, disguises herself as a man, is sent to court a countess and falls hard for a Duke. As she navigates this strange and wonderful new land, she finds her true self and true love in the process. This is not your usual Shakespeare production- this musical adaptation preserves Shakespeare's sharp wit and brilliant wordsmithing and blends it with Shaina Taub's skillful musical score to serve up a joyful and triumphant night of celebration you won't want to miss!
